Postoperative Overnight Stays
Our facility is designed for comfort, privacy, and of course, the utmost attention to safety. Attending to every need, a certified registered recovery nurse and an aid are present with patients throughout the duration of their overnight stay. Our facility optimizes pain control and patient safety.
Patients universally praised the overnight component, the transition from the day of surgery to the day following surgery. Rather than leaving the facility and returning for a post-op check the following day, patients remain overnight. Our patients express a greater sense of comfort, care, and confidence knowing they may stay overnight under the supervision of trained professionals. Patients will be discharged the following morning by Dr. Serure.
Patients undergoing face lift procedures and tummy tuck procedures are advised to stay overnight following surgery. The postoperative overnight stay at our medical facility is conveniently available for all surgical procedures (facial procedures, breast procedures, body contouring procedures). Our knowledgeable patient care coordinator can provide more details and plan your post-surgical stay.
Pain Management
Dr. Alan Serure has pioneered advanced pain management techniques to minimize postoperative pain and discomfort. Utilizing local anesthetics like Marcaine and Exparel during the procedure, we provide prolonged pain relief, often lasting up to three days. These medications are injected directly into the incisions and muscle prior to awakening from anesthesia.
Implementing these pain control techniques significantly reduces the need for narcotic pain medication, allowing most patients to manage postoperative pain with over-the-counter pain relievers like Tylenol after one or two days. With minimal downtime, patients can typically resume normal activities and daily routines within a few days, usually resuming exercise and heavy lifting four weeks after surgical procedure.
