BLEPHAROPLASTY (EYELID SURGERY) BY DR. ALAN SERURE IN MIAMI, FLORIDA

Blepharoplasty involves excess skin removal of the upper eyelids ("hooding") and the removal of puffiness of the lower lids. The incisions are hidden in the upper eyelid crease and beneath the lower lashes to address the lower lids, and sometimes inside the lower lid in the conjunctiva to remove the fatty deposits. Dr. Alan Serure will evaluate you and discuss the best procedure for you.

Blepharoplasty can be performed as an outpatient procedure. Anesthesia can be done with "twilight" sedation or general anesthesia, with patients not experiencing any discomfort during surgery.

Blepharoplasty is often combined with the Facelift procedure and resurfacing procedures such as Laser treatment and chemical peels, to remove the fine wrinkles of the lower lids. Injectables such as Restylane® Perlane® Juvéderm® Juvéderm Ultra® Radiesse®, as well as BOTOX® and Dysport® may be used to enhance the outcome of your eyelid rejuvenation procedure.

As in all procedures, patients must be in optimal physical condition. It is advised that out of town patients stay in Miami for one week so they can be observed and appropriate post operative care can be given.
