Many women seek out the answer to that question when they are considering, or have decided to, have facial injections done to get a young and fresh look. The answer however, is that there is no definite answer!
There are a number of different facial fillers that can be used to plump out skin and smooth wrinkles off the face. They are also often used as fillers for lips, or for ‘liquid facelift’s in which the entire face is plumped to mimic a facelift.
- Juvederm Ultra
All of this work as a filler to ‘fill out’ the wrinkles by plumping the skin with liquid that quickly hardens called hyaluronic acid.
Typically, most filler will last 6 months, with Radiesse lasting the longest (up to 12 months).
The injection that will work best for you however, will depend on a few factors:
- The area you would like injected: Everybody has different facial anatomy. This will help dictate which filler is best depending on the shape of the area.
- The depth of the wrinkle: Depending on how deep it is different fillers will be used. For instance, most doctors find that Radiesse or Perlane work well for deeper creases, while Restylane and Juvederm are better for smaller lines.
- Your Doctor: You should have a doctor whom you trust and can depend on for great results. Your doctors own experience with people with your age, facial structure and wrinkle type will dictate what sort of filler he/she suggests.
As with any medical procedure, the final choice is yours. Do your own research to educate yourself – look up results of different fillers and people’s own reviews. Take your doctor’s advice into consideration. Then you can make a great decision on what would work for you and get the best results possible for your own unique look!
